The passing years matter
From Leah Kabaker of Studio City, California on .
I first read this book many years ago when I was way too young to understand it. If it weren't for BJ there is no way I could read it. I needed it to be read to me. Of course I discovered so much that I missed in my youth. I also realize, the Dickens was paid by the word and it shows. Yes, Dickens knows how to tie all the characters together, but there were periods of slogging through. BJs' wonderful voice and dramatization made that possible.
Enjoyable
From David McCreery of Cookville, Texas on .
I was surprised how much I liked this.
Great Expectations
From Shirley Williams of Judsonia, Arkansas on .
If B.J. had not recorded this book I would not have experienced it. The small part that we were exposed to in school made it seem too strange (a convict in a graveyard and an old woman who lives in her wedding dress). However, since it is a classic and knowing that B.J. would not waste his time on anything that wasn't good, I decided to take a chance on it. I'm glad I did! It's a worthy story and B.J.'s narration is excellent as usual. Thanks again, B.J.!
Great Expectations

A wonderful reading, with voices that make you forget you're not watching a movie.
