Phenomenal
From Heather at CraftLit of New Hope, Pennsylvania on .
I hired BJ Harrison to read "Three Men in a Boat (to say nothing of the Dog)" for my podcast, CraftLit, based on his reading of this book. More than once he had upwards of five characters in one scene and EACH CHARACTER had a recognizably different voice. So much so that in chapter 69 his vocal work alone gives us a clue as to who is trying to remain incognito. Harrison and Dumas are a marvel of a team. I can't recommend this enough.
Epic Story and Narration
From Christopher Morlock of Phila., Pennsylvania on .
There is a moment at the end of chapter 83 where Dumas' epic tale and Harrison's epic narration collide, and I found myself saying "Yes!" out loud (to the surprise of those around me). Don't be intimidated by the length — this story is worth it! Recommended!
... what do you know, I changed it up for part three.
My Favorite
From Shirley Williams of Searcy, Arkansas on .
A couple of years ago a college coed told me this was her favorite book. I was not familiar with the story and, although I knew it was a classic, I assume it was of the "swashbuckling" variety. Now I understand why she chose it as her favorite! This is a great story and definitely my favorite of all the ones that BJ has done thus far.
Must Listen

I have been marathon listening to this for a few weeks now. Anytime I get a chance I'm plugged in and it is turned on. This is a fantastic reading a very interesting novel.
Amazing Value
From Tim of Honolulu, Hawaii on .
In this installment of the Count of Monte Cristo, you get 20 hours of audio for only $10.99! (or save another dollar by becoming a supporter!) The entire book is around 50 hours, and now that I have listened to all 3 parts, I can recommend it without reservation. [As an aside, I generally do not like the writing style of this time period, but this book is a real gem!]
Outstanding

B.J. Harrison keeps getting better and this audio might be his best so far. I was so drawn into the story that by Part 3, I was bringing my ipod to work and listened when I could during breaks and at lunch. So many different character voices, accents, emotions, BJ did them all. I am so enjoying all those books I didn't read in H.S. and college. Hey it's never too late. Get this one, worth all the time.
Count on BJ for Great Book
From Steve Labkoff of Stamford, Connecticut on .
The Count of Monte Cristo is one of my all time favorite books. BJ brings it to life with his voices as he always does. Dante's transformation from a young, naive ships mate turned captain turned prisoner turned millionaire is a classic tale if there ever was one. BJ's amazing treatment of this Dumas classic is utterly amazing. Part III just puts icing on an already fabulous story. 6 stars out of 5 (if I could give 6 stars I would - so just 5 for today).
Please keep them coming!
BJ's Best Work Yet!
From Anonymous of Humble, Texas on .
My favorite book OF ALL TIME, taken to a whole other level!! BJ has outdone himself yet again. I'm quite certain that if Alexander Dumas were alive today, he would be grateful for BJ's talented and masterful reading. Strong work, sir!! I can't wait for what's next!
