Interesting
From W Lorien of Clare, Ireland on .
Having hear a few too many renditions of Frankenstein (great novel though it is), this was a very pleasant surprise. It covers issues of the curse of Immortality discussed in much of the modern Vampire media, but also examines the changing relationships that one would experience. A great little gem of a story, highly entertaining.
A creative take on ancient legends
From Ariana of Claremont, California on .
This story is a creative take by Mary Shelly on ancient legends, such as the legend of the Wondering Jew, Faust, and Nicholas Flamel (although the latter is not a fictional personage). The reading by B.J. Harrison is amazing.
Exquisite Suspense!
From Lyra of New York, New York on .
The Mortal Immortal by Mary Shelley is an exquisite suspensefull tale about how immortality can be a curse rather than a blessing. It's the story of a man that will not die and is trapped in life forever yearning to die. Immortality is not a blessing; it's a curse. As usual B. J. Harrison's narration is excellent. I highly recommend this audiobook!
