I was a bit nervous when I pressed ‘play’ and began to hear B. J. Harrison’s voice introduce Where Love Is, God Is.
This story by Leo Tolstoy is one that I grew up reading year after year and, as my imagination had comprised intricate images of each character and the scenes witnessed through the little window, I was concerned that these images would shatter under the weight of a different interpretation.
My fear was unfounded.
This is the best production of Where Love Is, God Is. The voices attributed to each character are perfect and enable the listener to easily follow the dialogue presented without hesitation. The tempo which Tolstoy created is adhered to completely and yet, older-ears will find no difficulty in understanding the verbiage as presented.
This production added to my love of the story.
Truly, it is excellent.
