Great performance
From Mary Clare of San Marcos, California on .
I had read the book years ago but couldn't remember most of it. I loved hearing it performed so well. I have a hard time remembering names and I loved hearing the unique voices.

I was never a huge fan of Dickens, but something about BJ's previous readings of him captured my interest. This was a great read/listen. The character voices really make it come to life. It's a great meditation on the nature of attachment, and Dickens' treatment of David's childhood experience and its evolution into maturity is priceless. Highly recommended for fans of Victorian fiction!
A Treasure
From Shirley Williams of Searcy, Arkansas on .
I'm pretty sure we read an excerpt from this work in high school but somehow I came away with a "ho hum" opinion of it. Nothing could be farther from the truth! BJ has brought out beauty of it in a magnificent way and all the voices are masterfully done. You can actually feel the love when Mr. Peggotty speaks. I didn't want the story to end. Thank you, BJ.
The best book ever!
From Julie Steele of Santa Monica, California on .
David Copperfield is the best book ever, read by the best narrator ever! You have GOT to listen to this book. You will fall in love with the characters, even the evil Uriah Heep! And you will get to know the characters because B.J. becomes each character.
Utter bliss and a story you will carry with you through life.
Couldn't stop listening
From JDS of Annandale, Virginia on .
I didn't count them, but this book must have 30 or 40 characters - men, women, old, young. Mr Harrison has created each one uniquely. The character of Mr. Micawber is priceless.
Excellent Version
From Danielle Rice of Red Wing, Minnesota on .
How can one man do so many voices (and keep track of them all)? I've been listening to this production for a while now, and I am amazed at the talent and quality of this audio production.
Absolutely spectacular...

extraordinary story and wonderful reading
From johanna of North Bay, California on .
this is an amazing story--on so many levels. it is inspiring, uplifting and heartbreaking, yet satisfying and also, edifying. dickens never disappoints.
however BJ's excellent reading of this work makes this book even more exceptional. the characters distinguished via different voice, attitude and accent are perfect!!
i truly wish that dickens had written a sequel, as i never wanted it to end (yet couldn't stop listening!)
i highly recommend this wonderful audiobook.
David Copperfield
From Steven Labkoff of Stamford, Connecticut on .
Growing up w/ dyslexia is a tough thing. It leaves you feeling incapable of even attempting books like "David Copperfield". BJ Harrision's version has done for me what few have been able to do in my life - take a complex book like Copperfield and bring it to life as if I were reading it myself. His characterizations of the voices are superb as is the overall production quality (as all of his audiobooks are). I'm nearly 50 and would never have thought to attempt this book - until this Audiobook was produced. Thank you BJ. I hope this and other classic tales can become part of the lives of others with my challenges reading.
