Ghoulishly Fun
From Ronnie Greher of Liverpool, New York on .
Another excellent performance by a master thespian. BJ paints an outline, and your imagination fills in the details. Accents, villains, spot on French, and so much more. The printed word jumps off the page. Phantomly fantastuc.
Very picturesque
From Jackie of Springfield, Missouri on .
So much more than narration, the characters come to life. In the dialogue during many scenes, I got the feeling that I was witnessing drama between two separate people, forgot I was listening to only one person reading. I enjoyed this audiobook as much as the movie or musical version, as it was different yet equally moving in its own medium.
If you enjoyed the musical

You will enjoy this novel. Great reading by Mr. Harrison.
Brilliant!

My favorite thing about BJ's audiobooks is that I always forget I'm LISTENING to someone read me a book. With all of his superb character voices, I feel as though I'm a spectator while the story unfolds. I haven't seen the stage performance. Frankly, I don't feel like I need to now! Thanks BJ!
The best audio book reader!

B.J. does great with the voices of the different characters. Usually reader's attempt to voice different characters sound silly or every character sounds the same.
Great reading

After watching the musical movie I was very keen on reading
the full story. Listening to BJ's narration was the most convenient way of finding out. The character voices are well recognizable and reflect BJ's interpretation of the story, which
is quite agreeable.
The Phantom of the Opera
From Lynn of Gardena, California on .
I have watched the play several times and was always a bit confused. Listening to the story makes a big difference in your understanding of what is going on. As always, BJ does a great job with the reading. I am enjoying it very much!
Didn't know what I was missing!

If you're like me and thought seeing "Phantom" on stage gave you a good enough idea of what the book was all about, you must get this podcast! I'm two episodes in, and the characters are already so much more layered and interesting than I ever knew them to be. As usual, BJ brings them to life with talent and care. I don't think he'll be doing any singing, but who needs singing when you have Leroux's original text and BJ's beautiful French pronunciations? I look forward to enjoying the upcoming episodes! Keep up the great work, BJ!!
